The Best Tour Ever!

I can see you getting this e-mail in your inbox…”Yes!” you said.  “Another installment of Brydon’s Blogs to reenergize my soul and change my life!  How have I survived without this?”  Honestly, I don’t know how you’ve done it.  But really, I’m nothing special…but that’s just my opinion.  Why should I argue with the thousands of people who think otherwise (that little one-liner can be credited to a good gentleman I met at one of our shows in Warsaw/Winona Lake, IN).

Anyhoo, this has been a great month for The Brett Family.  We’ve been on a five-week tour, and it has been awesome!  We’ve been so grateful for all of the wonderful new friends and fans we’ve met in Kansas, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and Missouri.  Thank you all for your support!  You’ve heard me on my soap box about good, clean family entertainment before, but I want to tell you again that we couldn’t provide this kind of entertainment if you didn’t support it.  THANK YOU!  There are billions of dollars and the best marketing strategies supporting the filth we see on stages, screens, album covers, magazine covers, newspapers, the internet, etc.  So your willingness to contribute your dollar and your marketing efforts (i.e. – word of mouth, forwarding e-mails, writing reviews or blogs, telling friends and family, etc.) in support of great family entertainment is helping to stem the tide of the filth.  If we keep it up, we’re going to make a difference in the world.  And that’s the truth.

So, what are we going to do next you ask?  Well, we’ve got one more week left on this tour (you can check out the dates and locations by clicking on Tour Dates above).  Then we will head back to Branson to perform from the end of May to July 10 at Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater (check out the Branson schedule by clicking Branson Dates above).  It’s going to be great!  Garon and I are extremely excited to check out the new theater.  Then Briahna will kiss Merrill or something.  They are so in love.  She’s been such a trooper this whole tour without him.  Her foot is healing nicely.  She still has to wear the air-cast boot thing on her foot for performances so I explain it to the audience by saying: “Did y’all notice that boot on Briahna’s foot? (they respond)  Yeah, she lost the other one.”  That line has been getting big laughs for some reason.

Other than the above, we have modest plans to…change the world.  Nothing big.  We are excited for the future and grateful for the present and the past.  I’m way excited that we’re comin’ home for the first time in ten years to do a show in McKinney, Texas.  The show will be on June 13 at the McKinney Performing Arts Center.  If you’re not from Texas, we would love it if you would spread the word to any friends you have in Texas (with your personal recommendation – wink, wink).  If you are from Texas…we’ll see you at the show.  Thanks again everybody!  We love you and appreciate all your support.  Until next time…
